The ABA uses social media channels to communicate with members and promote bookshops to consumers.
The Love Your Bookshop social channels promote the nation-wide campaign and has a wide community of bookstagrammers, authors, illustrators and book lovers. This page promotes the events of member bookshops happening on Love Your Bookshop Day, as well as reading and a general love of books and booksellers. Throughout the year, the page highlights hero booksellers around the country, reinforces the value of reading and shopping locally and shares news and awards to keep you up-to-date on the literary industry.
The Kids’ Reading Guide brings together parents, teachers, librarians and children’s booksellers as a trusted resource for books and reviews that feature in the annual guide. The page also shares articles and inspiration for fostering a love of reading in children.
A closed Facebook group for members opens another channel of communication with the ABA and to other booksellers to cultivate the community that exists among bookshops. Members can request to join here
