The following restrictions are in place until Thursday 15 April 2021

Face mask requirement for all Queenslanders

From 12pm 1st April it is a requirement for face masks to be on persons at all times outside of the home. The mask will need to be worn at the following venues (except when eating or drinking):

  • Shopping centres, supermarkets and retail outlets
  • Indoor markets
  • Hospitals and aged care facilities
  • Churches and places of worship
  • Libraries
  • Indoor recreational facilities (including cinemas, art galleries and gyms)
  • Indoor workplaces where you cannot socially distance
  • On public transport, taxis and rideshare services
  • In airports and travelling on planes

All businesses may now have 1 person per 2 square meters. 1.5m per person social distancing must be observed wherever possible.
